"We were newlyweds, just getting settled into life when God began prompting us to find a church closer to where we were living - a place where we could continue to grow spiritually, get involved, and form relationships with other Christian men and women in our area. As we began our search, Mount Laurel Evangelical Free Church (MLEFC) was the first we visited.

As soon as we walked in the front door, we were pleasantly surprised at how warmly we were greeted. Several members of the congregation also introduced themselves and made us feel welcome. It felt so much like a family; we knew we had found our church home.

We loved the style of worship! Bill McQuoid and the worship team lead us in several contemporary choruses and some of our favorite hymns. This was great preparation for a sermon that was doctrinally sound, easy to understand, and applicable to our daily lives.

Within a short time, we were volunteering with the Jr. High youth group as well as helping out with the sound system on Sunday mornings. This turned out to be a good way to meet people while contributing to the work God was doing.

However, we really felt we got connected when we began attending Care Group at the Laskens. Not only was it an opportunity to learn more about God's Word, it also enabled us to get to know others on a deeper level. 

Our time at MLEFC has truly been a blessing. We've grown spiritually, established lasting friendships, and with the birth of our first child, we know it will be a wonderful place to raise our family."
