I think over the past 50 years we have been building a national landscape that is largely devoid of people worth caring about.  No matter where you go in the world, there are different environmental factors, or places,  that will present challenges to getting to know those around you.  I would hope that God will help me to get to know my neihbors better, and that ulitmatley He will help me truely love my neihbors.  Fortunatley the Lord has finally helped me realize that loving Him and loving others is more than a warm fuzzy feeling. I pray that God will help give my love for Him and for others "traction" so that it will actually start to be effective.  The opprotunities in suburban American are almost infinite, it is time to start seizing them.

I agree with you...love may or may not lead to a warm fuzzy feeling...but it certainly will be manifested in action.  A question a growing number of pastors are asking these days is "what difference would it make to our community if my church vanished"?  We can ask the same question about the neighborhoods that we live in...

We are placed here in Mt Laurel by God to live as salt and light to our community. I know you and I know that this is something that is very close to your heart as well. Let's head this direction together!
