How to Become a Member

Membership is a public declaration of one's commitment to the church family.
We encourage you to think about taking the next step...

The process…

• Application for membership: Attaining an application for membership can be made at any time by contacting the church office.

• Attending "Starting Point": There really are two parts to this class: 1) The first part is to tell you a little about us as a church and our affiliation with the EFCA 2) to help you see how you can get connected within our church community.

• Interview: Following the application you would meet with a couple members of the Church Board to share your testimony of salvation, evidence of your agreement to abide by the church’s Constitution and By-Laws, and affirm your commitment to serving Christ in this church.

• Congregational Vote: If the Church Board is satisfied that the qualifications for membership have been met, they shall recommend your name for membership at the next congregational business meeting.

• Welcome into Membership: You will be informed of the congregational decision. New members shall then be publicly/warmly welcomed into the church at a subsequent Sunday worship service. To pursue membership please contact us by e-mail at cindyr@mlefc.org or call the church office at 856-234-0272.
