1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to "encourage one another and build one another up", and so we are committed to sharing life with each other in the context of Missional Communities at MLEFC. Within our Missional Communities we study the Bible, pray, laugh, eat and develop meaningful relationships and live on mission together. Whether you are married, single, new to MLEFC or have been around for sometime, we strongly believe that you will grow in your relationship with Christ when you walk through life with others in a Missional Community. The process to get connected with a Missional Community is really simple. Just give us a call or e-mail and we will be happy to let you know of the days & times of the various groups meeting close to your home!

Q: What are Missional Communities at MLEFC?

A:
"The first thing to say is that a gospel community is not a meeting. It is a group of people who are committed to Jesus and committed to one another, sharing their lives together and sharing mission together. It is about people hanging out together, doing chores together, eating together, and serving in the neighborhood – all with gospel intentionality. That intentionality includes both a commitment to discipling one another with the gospel and sharing the gospel with unbelievers – all in the context of ordinary life and shared life. It’s not a meeting you attend. It’s not a thing you do. It’s who you are. It’s your identity. It’s your place of belonging.” -Tim Chester

Q: Why do we do Missional Communities at MLEFC?

A: First, because as Christians we are called to be in authentic community with one another. We reject the pull of culture which would have us believe that we can “make it on our own” and leaves us feeling isolated. The Bible teaches us that we need each other and we grow in Christ when we are in community. Second, we desire to live as a sent people who bring the love of Christ to our hurting and fallen world.
