1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us to "encourage one another and build one another up", and so we are committed to sharing life with each other in the context of Care Groups at MLEFC. Within our Care Groups we study the Bible, pray, laugh, eat and develop meaningful relationships and live on mission together. Whether you are married, single, new to MLEFC or have been around for sometime, we strongly believe that you will grow in your relationship with Christ when you walk through life with others in a Care Group. The process to get connected with a Care Group is really simple. Just give us a call or e-mail and we will be happy to let you know of the days & times of the various groups meeting close to your home!

Q: What are Care Groups at MLEFC?

A: Care Groups are gatherings of 6-16 people who want to grow and who want to experience transformational discipleship through Bible study and meaningful relationships (1 Cor. 12:12-31).

Q: Why do we do Care Groups at MLEFC?

A: Because as Christians we are called to be in authentic community with one another. We reject the pull of culture which would have us believe that we can “make it on our own” and leaves us feeling isolated. The Bible teaches us that we need each other and we grow in Christ when we are in community.

Q: Who can be in a Care Group?

A: Anyone!

Q: Can I just check one out before I make a decision?

A: Yes. We encourage you to go and visit one and then make your decision.

Q: What goes on in a Care Group?

A: There are a number of aspects to Care Group Life:
-
Being on mission together. Living for the good of others...
-Fellowship: Friendships, food, fun
-Bible Study: Digging into God’s Word
-Prayer: Praying together for personal needs, loved ones, others in the church
-Accountability: Bearing one another’s burdens, loving each other and getting below the “surface"

Q: How do I get in a Care Group?
