Michael Wallenmeyer

Senior PastorMichael earned a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois and BA in Bible Theology at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. Michael's lovely wife is Marcie, and they are blessed with three young children!

Michael is passionate about the Mission of MLEFC, "Love God, Love others." It is taken from the response by Jesus in Matthew 22:34-40 when the Pharisees came to test Him (again). He tells them that the two primary characteristics of one of His followers is to love God and to love others. This is the kind of community we passionately, prayerfully seek to be here at MLEFC. Too often this radical love gets domesticated by a number of factors; the lens we read Scripture, past church experiences, individualism, etc...The gospel is constantly compelling us to love one another and those outside the church walls with the same sacrifical love that Christ demonstrated to us on the cross. Amazing love...
